Aviva and the new Aviva Stadium on Lansdowne Road has been named Ireland’s top sponsorship for 2010 in a poll by sports agency, Online Sponsorship. The Aviva brands topped the survey with 19 per cent support. Guinness Rugby was in second place with 14 per cent and the 02 concert venue third with nine per cent.
Aviva Ireland’s customer management and marketing director, Vanessa Hartley, pictured, was a runner-up in last year’s Marketer of the Year award organised by Marketing.ie. The brand has been shortlisted among the finalists in four categories of the Marketing Institute All Ireland Marketing (AIM) awards.
The awards comprise a total of 16 different categories and Aviva is a finalist for direct marketing, innovation and sponsorship management. The winners will be announced at a gala dinner in the Burlington Hotel on May 12. RTE’s Six One news presenter Bryan Dobson is lined up as master of ceremonies.
