Ulster Bank has made Tony Boylan its head of marketing. Boylan joins the bank from VHI Healthcare, where he worked for over 15 years in various senior marketing positions. The appointment comes after the RBS-owned group launched a €4m branding campaign created by Ogilvy & Mather with the aim of promoting customer service, trust and advocacy.

Boylan’s job will be to help build on the campaign to meet the needs of the bank’s 1.1 million customers. He joins the team steered by Maeve McMahon, director of customer experience and products. His most recent role at VHI was as head of marketing. Prior to VHI, he was product manager for Pfizer Healthcare. He has a BA in business/marketing.
