The ‘12 Days of Christmas’ festival returns to Dublin’s Docklands this year with special preview days added by the organisers. Previews will be held on Thursday, December 10, and Friday, December 11, 12 noon to 8pm – in the same week that the extended Luas line from Tallaght to the 02 starts.
Now in its fifth year, the event offers visitors a yuletide experience in a waterside village setting with over 100 market traders selling a range of Christmas gifts, seasonal food and stocking fillers. Over 100,000 people were said to have attended the event last year.
Santa will be in the chq building right up until December 23 with a family photo for €10. Loretta Lambkin, marketing director, Docklands Authority, said that during the downturn the festival is an alternative to the traditional and expensive Christmas party.
