Dublin Zoo hires new PR firm

Dublin Zoo has hired Pembroke Communications after a five-way agency pitch which included Slattery Communications, Weber Shandwick and Fleishman Hillard.  WHPR handled the account for over 20 years but did not repitch. Pembroke, run by Michael O’Keeffe, will work to the zoo’s marketing manager, Veronica Chrisp.

A new TV show called The Zoo starts on TV3 at 7.30pm next Wednesday. The six-part-series is narrated by musician and Newstalk presenter, Tom Dunne. Filmed by Moondance Productions since last summer, it features giraffe, Sumatran tiger cubs, Brazilian tapirs, red pandas, Burmese pythons and ring-tailed lemurs.

The Zoo is sponsored by the EBS Building Society.
