Fitzpatrick to host Sunday show on Newstalk

NO REPRO FEE 18/8/2014.TV Presenter Collette Fitzpatrick meets with Rebecca Boyd 14yrs from Tralee in Kerry as the presenter dropped into Our Lady`s Children`s Hospital Crumlin as  TV3 announced that  the hospital  fundraising body, CMRF,  Children’s Medical & Research Foundation as its Official Charity for the year. CMRF has highlighted a 2million shortfall in its fundraising target to mark its selection by TV3 as the station's official charity for the next 12 months From 1st September TV3 will lend its support to The CMRF which will involve many of the station`s well known personalities in fundraising activities . As part of its commitment they will develop a number of initiatives to help raise much-needed funds for The CMRF over the next year and support the charity`s important campaigns. TV news presenter Colette Fitzpatrick is to present a Sunday morning show on Newstalk 106-108 FM. Sponsored by Marks & Spencer, The Colette Fitzpatrick Show will include topical discussions, expert advice and interviews. The show will cover topics such as psychology, parenting, book and TV reviews as well as women’s health and well-being.

Fitzpatrick started her career in radio working for East Coast Radio, now East Coast FM before moving to Radio Ireland, now Today FM, in 1998. Three years later she joined TV3’s newsroom, where she anchors the stations daily news bulletins at 12.30pm and 5.30pm. She has a weekly column in The Herald, writing on various issues.

She graduated with a first class honours degree in journalism from DIT in Aungier Street.

The Colette Fitzpatrick Show will be live every Sunday 9am-10am from this weekend
