Gerry Ryan reaches LowLow sponsorship deal

Gerry Ryan’s weekday morning show on 2FM has signed up its first ever sponsor in its 20-year history in the shape of Kerry Foods’ LowLow dairy spread. Although the show attracts over 300,000 listeners it has struggled in recent years and its audience was down by 4,000 listeners in the latest JNLR.
The deal is for an initial period of three months, starting next week with seven stings a day and online branding on the show’s web page. Paul Moran of Mediaworks said he would estimate that a show like Gerry Ryan’s would earn RTE about €300,000 a year in programme sponsorship.
