Herald to turn Leinster blue

The Evening Herald back page masthead will turn from its traditional red colour to Leinster blue this Friday to mark the rugby union club’s Heineken Cup final clash with Northampton Saints in Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium on Saturday evening (kick-off 5pm). The Herald is Leinster Rugby’s media partner.

Herald editor Stephen Rae said Friday editions will carry a pull-out supplement with regular writers Keith Wood, Eric Miller, Neil Francis, Brent Pope, Rocky Elsom and Des Berry. Leinster star Luke Fitzgerald will pen exclusive insights for Herald readers from the club’s dressing room.

Brent Pope

Dubliner magazine, included free in the Herald every Thursday, will be a Heineken Cup final special, with articles by ex-Leinster player Bernard Jackman on ’20 Things You Didn’t Know About Leinster Rugby’, a piece by Brent Pope (above), a fan’s guide to Cardiff and the top ten rugby wags.
