McCaughey new ICAD president

Pearse McCaughey, group creative director, Cawley NeaTBWA, has been elected president of the Institute of Creative Advertising & Design (ICAD). McCaughey has over 30 years experience working in adland and was previously creative director of Des O’Meara & Partners.

Ciara Cantwell, creative director, Associate, is ICAD’s new vice president. The other board members include Fiona Kinsella, Jumper Productions; Ian McFarlane, ICAN; Keith Walsh, Chemistry and Iain Slater, Slater Design, who stays on to represent the North of Ireland.

Commenting on his new post, McCaughey said that more has changed in Irish advertising and design in the past three years than in the 30 years he has been a part of the business and this emphasises the need to strive to produce excellent work across all platforms.

ICAD was launched in 1958 with the aim to foster, promote and reward creativity in advertising and design.
