Michael Palin

British actor and writer Michael Palin will give a talk in the National Concert Hall on May 25 as part of this year’s Dublin Writers Festival. Palin will look back over his career from his earliest days as a member of Monty Python to his Phileas Fogg recreated fictional journeys in the BBC series Around the World in 80 Days.

Palin later travelled from the North Pole to the South Pole, through Finland, Russia and Africa. His two-volume diary series, The Python Years and Halfway to Hollywood, offers a retrospective of his early career. His movies include American Friends, A Private Function, The Missionary and A Fish Called Wanda.
