Setanta Sports has secured a three-year deal with the All England Tennis Club, to show live coverage of the Wimbledon tennis championships starting with this year’s tournament at the end of June.  In a further boost to their tennis coverage, Setanta has also confirmed an extension to their deal with Roland Garros, home of the French Open, meaning that the grand slam event remains live on Setanta Ireland until 2019.

Setanta also confirmed exclusive coverage of the 44th edition of the Copa América football, with all 26 games live. The tournament comprises 10 teams from South America’s Conmebol, with two guest nations from Concacaf competing in three groups across nine venues to find the continent’s top team with games taking place from June 11 to July 4.

Setanta has extended its deal with the R&A to cover The Open golf live for the next two years. Along with all four days live this summer, they will show the Champions Challenge live from St Andrews on the Wednesday. These new rights join other live sport on Setanta this summer starting with Republic of Ireland v England live from the Aviva Stadium on Sunday June 7 – the first time England will have played in Dublin in 20 years.

Setanta will also show live coverage of the inaugural European Games from June 12-28. Baku 2015 will see a host of Irish athletes battle it out against Europe’s finest, including an Irish boxing squad led by Olympic gold medalist Katie Taylor. Over on BT Sport, Conor McGregor puts his reputation on the line against Brazil’s Jose Aldo in the UFC on July 11.
