Vodafone Ireland is seeking entries for its ‘See Your Business Pitchside’ contest. Now in its fifth year, the competition which is open to Vodafone Business owners, has seen over ten SMEs receive up to €300,000 worth of free stadium advertising. Brand owners are offered pitchside ads with their names appearing on screens around the Aviva Stadium.
Live
The winner’s branding will appear on the screens for the Ireland-South Africa fixture on November 21. The game will be televised live on RTÉ and TNT Sports and before 50,000 fans in the stadium. CSO figures indicate that there are 400,424 active small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Ireland.
Jersey
Vodafone Ireland recently partnered with the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) in signing up as the main sponsor of the Ireland Women’s Rugby Team in place of Aon risk and human capital. For the first time, Vodafone branding will feature on the front – and not back – of the Ireland women’s jersey marking a new chapter in the company’s support for the sport.
Builds
The deal builds on Vodafone’s decade-long partnership with the IRFU as main sponsor of the Ireland’s men’s team since 2016. Its ‘Team of Us’ brand message is intended to communicate the belief that rugby is intended to be a sport for everyone, celebrating the connection and sense of belonging that comes from standing behind the national team.
