Students sitting the 2016 MSc in advertising course in DIT will split into two agencies as they go head to head in presenting ideas for McCambridge’s bread and Connacht Gold butter. After 10 months’ study, the AdGrad programme reaches a climax with the 24 students pitching to industry leaders. The course has been the starting point for many careers in adland in recent decades. The pitch has been a crucial element of the annual programme.
The pitch allows students a chance to focus on their chosen speciality. The group project element of the MSc in advertising involves developing, planning and executing a marketing communications campaign. It is the deciding moment for AdGrad 16. The class have been split into two teams of 12, but only one team can emerge victorious.
The students are given five weeks to prepare during which time they have access to industry mentors. The pitch will take place in DIT Aungier Street at 5pm on June 2. Anyone interested in attending, should email adgrad16@gmail.com or follow the students on Twitter, Instagram or Snapchat at @adgrad16, and on Facebook at Ad Grad ’16.
