Core Media has announced that its Clear Blue Water (CBW) agency has officially changed its name to ZenithOptimedia following a “special resolution”, the group’s financial controller Brendan Moore has confirmed in a letter to suppliers. The move follows a deal agreed by Alan Cox last March allowing Core to run the agency franchise in Ireland.
Core had supported ZenithOptimedia’s operations in Ireland for seven years, but with the agency remaining part of its UK owner. The move allowed ZenithOptimedia access to the group’s shared resources. Cormac O’Shea recently quit as CBW’s managing director.
Core’s Eddie O’Mahony is in charge of ZenithOptimedia’s trading and Justin Cullen looks after digital. Clients include Bacardi-Martini, Reckitt Benckiser, Molson Coors, SCA, eOne Films, Focus Ireland and the National Dairy Council (NDC).
