RTÉ Radio 1 has announced Lloyds Pharmacy as the new Liveline sponsor for a year in a deal brokered by Core Media’s Livewire and Mediaworks. The afternoon phone-in show presented by Joe Duffy has an average audience of 382,000, making it the second most listened to show on Irish radio after Morning Ireland. The Liveline opening line is “Talk to Joe…”
The sponsorship is part of the chemist chain’s three-year investment and expansion programme in Ireland, expanding its footprint, employee numbers and healthcare services nationwide. It is said to include an investment of over €2 million in implementing a new patient services programme to complement the 21 patient services already in-store.
The deal 30 sponsor credited stings per week, five cross station promos each week, podcast sponsorship, outside broadcasts and airtime. Livewire will also be closely measuring the effectiveness of the sponsorship and its impact on Lloyds’ brand and sales.
