Nolan replaces Walsh at Burnetts

Brand Artillery

Eoghan Nolan (right) has replaced Michael Walsh as creative director at Leo Burnett, following Walsh’s move to Bloom to assume a similar role. Nolan and former Irish International colleague Colman Bourke set up Brand Artillery last February. The idea behind the new creative ‘hot shop’ was to target clients looking for a more flexible approach to advertising, an agency without ‘suits’ and where everyone rowed in to do the job at hand.

Burnetts is run by Shane McGonigle. Clients include Kellogg’s, Airtricity, Nivea, GAA, Penneys/Primark, Nissan and the Gleeson Group’s Tipperary waters and Bavaria beer brands.  A number of these clients came to the agency following Burnett’s takeover of Martin Larkin’s Larkin Partnership two years ago. Nolan’s work includes campaigns for Kerrygold, Yoplait, the NNI, Simon and Cablelink (now NTL) while at McCann Erickson.
