Emily Pittman has been appointed by as vice president and general manager for Unilever Ireland. Based in Citywest in Dublin, Pittman will be responsible for growing Unilever’s business in Ireland and will lead the Irish sales and marketing team, reporting to Sebastian Munden, Unilever’s European vice president and the group’s UK and Ireland general manager.
A native of New Zealand, she joined Unilever in 2017 as part of the UK and Ireland team responsible for revenue growth and strategy. Before joining the Anglo-Dutch food and home products giant, she worked at Coca-Cola UK and Ireland and with FMCG agencies. She replaces Nick Johnson, who was five years in the role and now moves to a global position with Unilever.
Unilever is one of the largest FMCG companies in Ireland employing close to 100 people across its operations in Dublin and Cork. Primarily engaged with the marketing and distribution of food, home cleaning and personal care products, its portfolio includes brands such as HB ice cream, Lyons Tea, Knorr, Flora, Hellmann’s, Dove, Lynx, Persil and Cif.
