C&C Gleeson’s Bulmers Cider makes a return to TV with the launch of a new, through-the-line campaign again by Publicis Dublin highlighting the cider brand’s journey and extolling the virtues of that quintessential Bulmers’ ingredient – time. The new ‘Not a Moment Too Soon’ message focuses on taking Bulmers slow and has already been rolled out on bus sides.
Developed by Publicis, in partnership with Shane Whelan of PROjekt, who worked on Bulmers at Youngs/Havas for almost 20 years, the new TV ads start next Monday. The new ad was produced by Antidote and directed by Irish filmmaker and writer, Aoife McArdle, whose work includes music videos for U2, and filmed in Dublin, Wicklow and Clare.
Bulmers was founded in Clonmel in 1935 by local man William Magner. Both Bulmers’ and Magners’ marketing bosses earned Marketing.ie Marketer of the Year awards, with John Keogh receiving the industry honour for Bulmers in 2001, followed by Maurice Breen’s export success story for Magners being rewarded five years later.
