Nursing Homes Ireland (NHI) has rolled out a national radio campaign in the run-up to Nursing Homes Week 2015, which begins on Monday week highlighting the care provided by private and voluntary nursing homes. The ads celebrate the personal care in NHI member homes and promotes the rewarding job opportunities they provide.
The ad campaign follows a series of stories in the media exposing nursing homes where residents were abused by nursing staff. Listeners are encouraged to visit the NHI website, www.nhi.ie, for information on nursing home care and employment. The two ‘It’s the people that make the difference’ radio ads were created by DDFH&B with Mindshare handling media.
NHI chief executive Tadgh Daly says the campaign focuses on the attention to detail that marks nursing home care out. The ads zone in on how staff in the homes enable residents keep active and bring fulfilment to them, as well as how they assist residents to keep in touch with their loved ones using new media. Over 240 broadcasts of the ads will be aired.
