A short film which tells the story of five characters whose well-intentioned actions all incur disastrous consequences has resulted in Dublin company Red Rage Films scooping the best international short entry at the Raindance Film Festival in London.
‘Of Best Intentions’ was directed by Brian Durnin and produced by Paul Holmes, both of whom are well-known in advertising circles for their commercials productions. Their film was produced as part of the 2008 Irish Film Board’s Short Cuts programme.
A previous winner at various overseas festivals, ‘Of Best Intentions’ was selected by actor Liam Neeson as the best entry at last year’s Kerry Film Festival. It will be screened at Interfilm Berlin next month and at the Bahamas festival in December.
