Romantic escape: Sunway is hoping that wedding guests will sign up to their new holiday register for honeymoon couples.
Irish tour operator Sunway has come up with an idea to try and seduce engaged couples by urging them to suggest to their wedding guests that they pool together and pay for their dream honeymoon.
They want couples to register with them and get their wedding guests to commit a sum of money towards their post-nuptial escape. Couples set the total target they want, be it €500 or €5,000.
Upon registering each couple is assigned a personal account manager and a personal wedding registry page with password, where a photo of the couple can be uploaded and details of their dream holiday is outlined.
Sunway keeps a log of names and amounts contributed by guests which is handed over to the couple when the register is closed.
