There is strong speculation in adland that the Coke creative account has moved from McCann Erickson to QMP Publicis as part of an international alignment, but Coca-Cola is refusing to confirm or deny the rumour. When contacted by Marketing.ie, a spokesperson for Coca-Cola Ireland said there was an on-going review of “creative processes” just now but there was “nothing specific” to report on a new agency being appointed.
She said that it would be “inappropriate” to comment any further on the matter just now. A Publicis QMP ezine sent out on Friday listed Coca-Cola among a number of new account gains at the agency. The agency’s managing director, Padraig Burns, said they had not issued a press release and only Coca-Cola could officially confirm any news. Coca-Cola media is handled in Ireland by UM, aka Universal McCann.
