Coke’s Christmas campaign up and running

Coca-Cola Ireland’s Christmas campaign kicked off with its annual Christmas Truck Tour launched in the RDS in Dublin. From there, it continued to further seven locations across the island of Ireland. Now in its ninth year, the tour sees the return of the brand’s Christmas merchandise cart, with all proceeds donated to charity partner, St Vincent de Paul.

Also, for the first time, each truck stop will feature Christmas stalls where two local vendors will have bespoke Coca-Cola Christmas gifts available, along with their own handmade goods for visitors to purchase for friends and family. As well as its ‘Holidays Are Coming TV ad, Coca-Cola is also launching a new global ad, ‘Accepting Santa’ this year.

This year’s media plan is the biggest yet and will feature TV, out of home, live OBs around the country and include take overs of digital screens and spaces in Dublin Airport, Dundrum Shopping Centre and Heuston Train Station. Coca-Cola is again a title sponsor of Christmas FM, bringing festive music to radio listeners all December long.

The agencies involved are MediaCom, Verve and Edelman.
