DDFH&B-JWT continues its strong run with the news that it has been retained by Fáilte Ireland to handle its creative and digital work. The agency run by Miriam Hughes was in competition for the home tourism marketing body with Irish International and Rothco. It is understood that Publicis QMP was offered a chance to pitch.
It is the second time DDFH&B-JWT has been asked to represent for Fáilte Ireland. Semi-State companies are obliged to review their advertising arrangements every three years and tender notice is extended EU-wide. Following due process, an agency must be appointed within an 18-month extension of the three years.
Last month, DDFH&B-JWT won the Eircom/eMobile account in a contest with Boys and Girls, Ogilvy, Rothco and the incumbent, Chemistry. They also gained Dublin City Council from Publicis QMP and retained the DCU account after a review. Fáilte Ireland’s John Concannon was last year’s Marketer of the Year winner.
DDFH&B-JWT was recently chosen as top agency by Checkout grocery magazine. The award is presented to agencies with a high proportion of FMCG clients. Irish International and McCann Erickson were runners up. ‘DDs’ now awaits a decision on the National Lottery creative which is expected by the end of November.
Blue Cube Interactive and Agency.com have been added to the National Lottery’s digital agency roster.
