The directors of public relations agency Drury Porter Novelli have acquired the business from its owner Omnicom Group Inc for an undisclosed sum in a management buy-out. The agency has been part of the Porter Novelli network for the past five years, having been originally acquired by Omnicom in 2000. The agency was founded in 1989 by Fintan Drury.
Drury’s client portfolio is spread across corporate and financial PR, public affairs and its consumer and digital division, called Amplify@Drury. They include Amazon Web Services, Cairn Homes, CRH, ESB, Flutter Entertainment (Paddy Power Betfair), Irish Life, Nivea, Greencore, Road Safety Authority (RSA), Three Ireland and Workhuman.
Following the completion of the management buyout transaction, the business will continue trading as Drury Communications with Anne-Marie Curran (above) in charge, alongside chairperson Billy Murphy, finance director Sinead Birt and director Paddy Hughes. Omnicom will continue to have a PR presence in Dublin through FleishmanHillard.
OMG’s other local agency interests include TBWA, BBDO, OMD, PHD and CPM.
