MediaVest has won the pitch for the Mars-Wrigley account after a review which included the two incumbents, Universal McCann (UM) and Mediacom. The Mars account includes all confectionery and pet food brands, including Galaxy, Twix, Maltesers, Snickers, Topic, Bounty, Starburst, Milky Way, Pedigree and Whiskas.
Vodafone Ireland has appointed London-based Grey as its new strategic and creative agency. Previously the account was held by Dublin agency DDFH&B-JWT and before that, Ogilvy. The appointment follows a review and pitch process that the company undertook in November involving WPP-owned or backed agencies.
Other Grey clients include Sony, Procter & Gamble and Toshiba. Anne Mulcahy, head of brand and marcoms, Vodafone Ireland, said she felt Grey provided “the right fit”. Other agencies on the roster remain unchanged, including OMD for media buying and planning and RMG Target for below the line tasks.
