RTÉ 2FM’s weekday traffic and travel bulletins are now sponsored by Maxol in a deal brokered by Mediaworks and Core Sponsorship. The year-long deal features 10 x credited stings every weekday. Stings will air on 2FM Breakfast with Doireann and Eoghan (6.30am – 9am) and on Jenny Greene on 2FM (3pm-6pm) and Game On (6pm-6:30pm).
Maxol marks a 100 years in business in 2020. Caroline Burton, Maxol’s head of marketing, described the sponsorship as a brilliant way to kick-start the company’s centenary year. She said it is just one of a number of high-profile initiatives that Maxol plan to launch to mark its milestone as a family-owned business at the heart of the community.
“Maxol’s customers are a community of radio listeners – at home, on the go, in work and in the car,” Burton said. “It’s exciting to have this campaign run across the national airwaves, right throughout the year, reaching them wherever they are tuning in. We want to generate a buzz across the country, getting people involved in the celebrations too.”
