Musgrave have secured an exclusive contract to sell the Graham Norton Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc produced by New Zealand winery Invivo through SuperValu and Centra stores nationwide. The wine is being marketed in tandem with talk show host and Cork native Graham Norton. It has already won a number of accolades at global wine shows.
Projected retail sales are expected to reach €800k to year end. The wine won a silver medal at the International Wine and Spirit Competition in London plus a double gold at the China Wine and Spirits Awards. The wine is on offer for €12 (rrp €14.99). All of Norton’s proceeds from wine sales will be donated to Dogs Trust charity in Ireland and the UK.
In recent years, Invivo Winery in New Zealand has supplied the white wine to Graham Norton for his talk show on ITV and TV3. The comedian has gone hands-on and added his ‘Norton Hemisphere’ charisma to the New Zealand winery’s Southern Hemisphere grapes and blended the 2015 vintage under the guidance of Invivo’s winemaking team.
