Niamh NicLiam has announced her resignation as marketing manager at Associated Newspapers Ireland (ANI). She plans to leave Ireland in a few months time and move to South Africa for personal reasons. NicLiam joined ANI from RTE Publishing where she worked for almost three years. Prior to that, she was marketing services manager at TV3 where she worked with Paul Henderson, who was to become her boss at ANI.
She helped create a marketing strategy at ANI which included fostering links with the GAA. The Irish Daily Mail sponsored the GAA Museum at Croke Park and supported the International Rules series two years ago. Late last year, the Mail signed a three-year deal to sponsor all higher education GAA competitions. A native of Dundalk, she has a diploma in PR, skills she put to good use in her first job at Radio Ireland/Today FM.
A European studies graduate of TCD, her subjects were German, French, politics, history and sociology.
