Electric Ireland is sponsoring the new season of the Graham Norton Show on Tv3 and 3e. The first show in the 13-week run starts tomorrow night. Electric Ireland says the aim of the sponsorship is to increase awareness among consumers that the company supplies both gas and electricity. Irish International and animation company Animade created a series of 7” and 10” animated stings with the show’s iconic red chair.
With a surprise end to each, the stings will finish with ‘That’s unexpected, like gas from Electric Ireland’. Margaret Colton, marketing manager, Electric Ireland, said when the opportunity arose to sponsor the show with TV3, it was the perfect vehicle to raise awareness among Irish consumers that Electric Ireland supplies gas. The word “gas” in Ireland is a colloquialism for fun and humour, so there is a good fit, Colton added.
