Concerns about the quality of the Nielsen ad spend monitoring service are due to be sorted in the coming weeks, industry sources have indicated. Agencies have been up in arms about various aspects of the report and have demanded action as a matter of urgency. Liam McDonnell of Aegis is heading up the IAPI group which is trying to remedy the problems asap. A spokesman for Nielsen refused to make any official comment but it is understood that progress is being made and the deficiencies in the report service will be rectified by early September.
