Rothco|Accenture Interactive took home the prestigious agency of the year title at Eurobest 2018 at the an awards ceremony broadcast worldwide from London. Eurobest celebrates creative excellence in European advertising with a jury of creative leaders from across the continent. The Dublin agency also won three grand prix awards, two gold and three silvers.
It is the first time ever an Irish creative agency has won the Eurobest agency of the year.
All the awards awards were for its artificial intelligence (AI)-led campaign ‘JFK Unsilenced’ created for The Times/News UK & Ireland. The latest wins means the campaign has won a total of 55 international awards and eight grand prix trophies. Last February, Rothco was acquired by Accenture and became part of the Accenture Interactive global agency network.
‘JFK Unsilenced’ used AI tech to create the speech the 35th president was to make in Dallas the day he was assassinated – The Dallas Trade Mart speech. The campaign film launched last spring and had a reach of 51 million on Twitter and one billion media impressions. Last year’s agency winner was Adam & Eve DDB for ‘Man on the Moon’ for John Lewis.
