RTE Media Sales hopes to announce a new sponsor for Liveline to replace Nissan from next month. Joe Duffy’s phone-in show had an average of 404,000 listeners for its afternoon slot weekdays, making it the second most popular radio show on RTE Radio 1 across its schedule after Morning Ireland.
The Liveline deal involves 30 ten-second stings per week. A sponsor can either sign up for six months at a cost of €190,000 (rate card value €483,054) or for a year at €350,000 (rate card €966,108). The show’s outside broadcasts include the Ploughing Championships from Athy, Co Kildare, in September.
Before Nissan, Specsavers was the Liveline sponsor.
