Sky Ireland has hired comedian Deirdre O’Kane and TV personality Baz Ashmawy to star in its new social media campaign for Sky Q. In the first video, O’Kane, who starred in Moone Boy, dons the apparel of an empress to demo the pause and carry on feature on Sky Q while she and Ashmawy get stuck into Sky’s new Catherine the Great min-series.
The duo will be seen in two more videos. The second one will feature Ashmawy dressed as Queen’s Freddie Mercury to demo voice control on Sky Q while watching Bohemian Rhapsody on Sky Cinema. The third video will see O’Kane surprise Ashmawy with a frightening flick into the hugely popular Stranger Things sci-fi drama on Netflix.
Sky Q subscribers can watch shows from a box, whether live, recorded or on demand, anywhere around the home on another TV or tablet. Apps can be accessed in one place like Netflix, Spotify and YouTube. You can pause on one TV screen and pick up where you left off elsewhere. Subscribers can Download the Sky TV app onto as many devices as they like.
