Several of Ireland’s top chefs will attend the Food & Wine Christmas show in the RDS this weekend. Among the line-up are Richard Corrigan, Ross Lewis, Derry Clarke (pictured above left), Kevin Dundon and Donal Skehan. Masterchef Ireland winner Mary Carney is also due to attend the three-day show which starts this evening.
The chefs will take to the stage to demonstrate their skills with masterclasses and share their cooking tips with show visitors. Corrigan, patron of Corrigan’s in Mayfair and a regular on cookery shows on Channel Four and RTE, is expected on stage at 7pm this evening. A host of Irish food producers will offer free tastings.
Tesco and Marks & Spencer will have exclusive show offers on festive treats. Restaurants will present ‘tapas-style’ menu samples. But the organisers say the show is not only for foodies, as there are lots of Christmas gift ideas. There is no entry charge for children under 12 and they can visit Santa for free.
The Food & Wine Christmas Show starts today and runs until Sunday in the RDS Main Hall
