Toyota is to sponsor Cricket Ireland’s flagship women’s domestic competition, the Super 3s series, for an undisclosed sum. The sponsorship will see the tournament renamed the Toyota Super 3s in a four- year deal. The announcement follows the recent renewal of Toyota’s partnership with Cricket Ireland by four years.
The deal sees Toyota support both the men’s and women’s international teams and help the strategic development programme for the sport in Ireland. The Japanese car maker will also sponsor the Super 3s Player of the Year, a new category which will be launched at this year’s Cricket Ireland awards. The Super 3s gets underway on May 1.
The series starts with The Typhoons taking on The Dragons at YMCA.
