TV3 will present Ireland’s first product placement seminar featuring international guest speakers in the Aviva Stadium in a fortnight. The event, on Thursday May 5, aims to provide advertisers with insights and will discuss the various opportunities product placement presents broadcasters, programme makers and advertisers.
Under new Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BCI) rules, marketers will be allowed place products and services in shows from the start of next month. As well as the PP letters on screen, advertisers’ names must be mentioned in the end credits. Children’s shows and news and current affairs programmes are excluded.
