Two Irish e-commerce websites have won awards at the Search Engine Land Awards in New York. The ‘Landies’, as they are affectionately branded in digital marketing circles, seek to reward the world’s best search campaigns, so for Irish campaigns to receive two awards for the time ever amid such strong competition is seen as a significant achievement.

Donegal fashion retailer McElhinney’s became the first ever Irish company to win a Landy, taking home the prize for best overall SEM initiative – small business. It represents another landmark for the family-run business, after McElhinney’s received a commendation at the Drum search awards held in London earlier this year.
Online department store Littlewoods Ireland picked up a Landy for best integration of search into cross-channel marketing, an award which covers various aspects of digital marketing, including social media and search. Morgan Stanley’s Super Bowl campaign was among Littlewoods’ competition for the award.
