The move by Newstalk 106-108 FM to bring in former Fine Gael minister and Celtic Bookmakers founder Ivan Yates to co-host the station’s breakfast show alongside Claire Byrne and instead of Ger Gilroy since May of this year has been made permanent. The show goes out from 6.30am to 9am weekdays. Yates had previously deputised for George Hook on Newstalk’s evening drivetime show.
