Eibhin Eviston is mail media manager at An Post. She has been with the company for the past seven years, having previously worked in direct marketing roles at RMG Target, now JWT Folk, and Goosebump where her clients included Bord Gáis Energy, O2 and PTSB. She’s also a singer-songwriter in her spare time and has penned many songs.

Brainstorming. Coming up with marketing ideas or lyrics for my next song

There’s nothing as special as my son, Jack

A rough-as-hell fish ‘n’ chip shop in Byron Bay in Queensland, Australia. It was the complete opposite to a diamond in the rough

That one of my songs is a hit and I can live off the royalties

Songwriter Bruce Sprinsteen is my all-time favourite

Double Jeopardy. It gets me every time

To be honest, I’m not sure what people think of me

My son, otherwise I sleep soundly

“Seriously!”, “stop?” and “yes”
11 Favourite ad?
The John Lewis Christmas ad. I got a Roland keyboard for Christmas one year and started gigging because of it. I’m no Elton, but I could relate to the ad, it made me cry

13 A brand experience that disappointed you?
Being quite intuitive, I tend to recognise brands that will disappoint, so I don’t engage. Prevention is better than cure
14 What living person do you most admire?
Bruce Springsteen
15 Most embarrassing experience?
Sitting in a packed pub and jumping out of my seat and screaming with hands on head when Ireland missed a goal. I was on my own though as it was a replay
16 Someone or something that strikes you as beautiful?
The coast road in Clontarf. I run there on a Saturday morning and, no matter what the weather, the views are stunning
17 What would be your fantasy act of heroism?
Running a marathon. I’m thinking about it
18 What would your younger self think of you today?
She’d tell me that all the worrying hasn’t made an ounce of a difference

Fillet steak and chips, followed by a massive Eton Mess, washed down with Tiki New Zealand sauvingon blanc
