Georgieann Harrington is consumer insight director at Kantar Worldpanel Ireland where she manages an FMCG portfolio. She was category manager at Jacobs Fruitfield and a category manager analyst at Irish Distillers Pernod Ricard. She has a BA in media and communications from the University of the West Indies and an MBA from DIT.

While with friends and family
02 What’s your most treasured possession?
My life is my most treasured possession really. If I had to choose something material, it would be my wedding band and all it represents

Working in Ben & Jerry’s ice cream parlour in New York

I love to read but lately all my reading is academic. Saying that, I’ve started reading Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn which I hope to finish soon

My son bought me Ed Sheeran’s X and The Script’s No Sound Without Silence for Christmas, does that count? I hope I’m not too old to love both
07 A film you’d watch again tonight?
The Notebook – I’m a pure romantic
08 What do some people think about you that isn’t true?
Some people who have only spoken to me on the phone imagine me as a red-head with freckles

My family

A recent hotel stay in Cork which was meant to be a five-star luxury break
14 What living person do you most admire?
It’s perhaps a bit cliché but it has to be my mum. Her strength, resilience and ability to see the good in everyone is inspiring

Falling at a London airport in front of my boss while trying to make a flight
16 Someone or something that strikes you as beautiful?
The views from Knockatee and the coast road at Tuosist in Kerry
17 In what other era would you like to have been born?
The 1950s and its Audrey Hepburn-inspired fashion
18 Best advice you’ve heard?
You can do whatever you set your mind to
19 What would be your fantasy act of heroism?
To chain airport security personnel and allow all passengers to run free with their shoes and belts on and maybe even a bottle of water in hand

Anything from Jamaica, like jerk chicken, rice and peas… the list is endless

Sandra Alvarez is deputy managing director at PHD Media and has been with Omnicom Media Group (OMG) for the past 10 years. In 2008, she moved from OMD to help launch sister agency PHD, which looks after VHI Healthcare, Mondelez International, Fáilte Ireland, The Irish Times and Permanent TSB. Last year, the agency was honoured with the grand prix at IAPI’s Adfx awards show.
01 When are you happiest?
When I’m in a sunny, tropical place with my husband and my family. I grew up in a country where the sun shines practically all year round, so I miss it terribly.

My family. (I see you like starting with the small and easy questions in life. What’s next? The origin of life?)

For work, LinkedIn and Twitter. I keep Facebook for my circle of friends and I’m also a big fan of Pinterest and Instagram
04 What’s the worst job you’ve ever done?
My first job was as an extra in a soap where we had great craic with the cast but I never got that call from Hollywood so here I am in advertising

Mark Nepo and Rosa Montero

Stay Gold by First Aid Kit after going to their amazing gig at the Olympia
07 A film you’d watch again tonight?
I’m more into TV series these days. I was hooked on Homeland
08 What do some people think about you that isn’t true?
Thankfully, I pay little attention to what people think about me
09 What keeps you awake at night?
Nothing. I sleep like a baby
10 Which words do you overuse?
“Un tequila por favor” …just kiddin’. I make up words all the time, particularly Spanglish words which I’m sure I overuse until I realise they don’t exist. I don’t really mind it though. It keeps my brain active and creative
11 Your favourite ad?
It constantly changes
12 Your favourite gadget?
My juicer and Nutribullet; they are my secret weapon. I don’t like to show off but I do make excellent juices, particularly of the green and the berry/ginger variety
13 A brand experience that disappointed you?
Flying with Virgin Atlantic. The experience doesn’t live up to their ads
14 What living person do you most admire?
My parents
15 Most embarrassing experience?
Probably answering these questions; it’s getting pretty personal
16 Someone or something that strikes you as beautiful?
Taking the “dare greatly” words from American author Brene Brown, do something wonderful by breaking the status quo without fear of being vulnerable
17 In what other era would you like to have been born?
Happy with the here and now but if I had to choose I’d probably go for the 60’s
18 Best advice you’ve heard?
Any advice from the wonderful Maya Angelou who sadly passed away last year
19 What would be your fantasy act of heroism?
Growing back the world’s coral reefs damaged by the effects of global warming
20 You’re on Death Row, what’s your last meal?
A pre-Hispanic dish called Mole which uses chocolate and hundreds of spices.
Oh and at least three desserts
