TV3 will show the first leg of the Uefa Champions League play-off between Glasgow Celtic and Arsenal at Celtic Park on Tuesday, August 18th, kicking off at 7.45pm and with Matt Cooper as anchor. Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown and Tony Cascarino, who played up front for Celtic, will provide the studio analysis.
Former Arsenal player Liam Brady reacted to the draw by saying that the game will be “intense” and will be the “unknown aspect of the tie”. The ex-Celtic manager, who is Arsenal’s head of youth development, told Amy Lawrence of the Guardian that he expects the game to be a bit like the Liverpool-Arsenal quarter final from a couple of years ago. Arsenal will be without Theo Walcott and midfielders Tomas Rosicky and Samir Nasri, all of whom are sidelined with injuries.
