Classified ads site hits two million

DoneDeal.ie classified ads site allowing people to buy and sell goods online has reported over two million visits and 20,000 new ads for September, figures released by the IrelandMetrix website audit agency indicate. DoneDeal.ie was founded by Fred and Geraldine Karlsson five years ago.
The results coincide with Buy & Sell’s rescue from receivership by Nelson and Elgin Loane, the family behind the old Adare printing and packaging group, by paying National Irish Bank about €3 million. Buy & Sell owed €18.3m when it was placed under High Court protection last June.
