Clients to discuss adfx

As a sequel to the advertising effectiveness talk given by The Long and the Short Of It author Les Binet of Adam & Eve DDB in Dublin recently, the Institute of Advertising Practitioners in Ireland (IAPI) will host a breakfast talk giving two clients’ eye views. Tom Kinsella (above), group marketing director, AIB and Melissa Furze, head of business competency, 02, will give their different perspectives on advertising effectiveness (adfx).

They will discuss what ‘best practice’ looks like in theory and practice and how to cultivate an effectiveness culture between clients and agencies. Independent strategic planner and social psychologist Karen Hand will facilitate the discussion. The seminar is in 02’s offices at 28/29 Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, Dublin 2 beween 8.30am -10am on Thursday, November 28. IAPI says places are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

At its AGM, IAPI elected three new board members  – Viv McKechnie, group trading director, Aegis; Jimmy Murphy, director, Publicis and Emma O’Doherty, managing director, Mindshare.
