Core Media is seeking to appoint a senior marketing expert to set up and lead the group’s sponsorship division. The candidate should have ten years’ commercial sponsorship experience, have worked with creative and media agencies in developing relevant activities and be experienced in sponsorship activation for major brands across sectors. Applicants should also have a wide contact network and a strong reputation.
Core Media boss Alan Cox (above) said experience of contract negotiation and procurement are required attributes, along with an understanding of all marketing disciplines from creative, to PR, to digital. He added that they were not seeking a person whose experience is exclusively in sports sponsorship. Core Media comprises the agency grouping of Starcom, MediaVest, ZenithOptimedia, Radical and Clear Blue Water.
