Diageo is to extend its Guinness Arthur’s Day event to local pubs around the country. Live music will be staged free of charge in bars from Dublin to Cliften, Dingle to Derry on Thursday, September 27. Among the artists are Example, Tinie Tempah, Ellie Goulding, Mika, Professor Green, Fatboy Slim, Texas and Amy MacDonald.

Consumers are being urged to get their local pub involved by voting online at www.guinness.com Voting is open until from September 16. The winning pubs will remain a secret until the night itself. For every ‘check-in’ by people on the event’s Facebook page, Diageo will donate €5 to the Arthur Guinness Fund.
