Ervia is seeing presentations from seven local media and creative agencies as part of its current advertising services review for Irish Water and Gas Networks Ireland. On the media buying and planning side, the incumbent, Carat, is joined by GroupM’s Mindshare, Havas and the Omnicom-owned OMD. Mindshare handles media for Bord Gáis Energy (BGE).
With regard to Ervia’s creative advertising account, the three agencies in contention are JWT Folk, Publicis and TBWA\Dublin. JWT Folk was last year appointed by Centrica to handle BGE in Ireland as part of an international alignment. Publicis had handled it for many years. TBWA\Dublin worked for Electric Ireland before its move to Rothco.
Rothco, Ervia’s creative incumbent, is not re-pitching.
A spokesman for Ervia said that as the agency review involves a public tender, the company was unable to make any official comment until the process is complete. The review is being managed by Claire Cluskey’s Empirica working to chief communications and marketing officer Orlaith Blaney and group head of brand and marketing Mark Grehan.
