Cliona Hurson will become marketing director at Communicorp with effect from mid-January. She has been marketing director for 98FM and Spin 103.8 for the last 18 months, having previously been marketing manager for 98FM. She will work to CEO Gervaise Slowey, who joined Denis O’Brien’s group from Ogilvy last year.
Hurson has a BA from UCD and an MSc in international marketing from the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT). Before joining 98FM in 2008, she worked in various marketing roles across a range of brands, including Jameson Whiskey and West Coast Cooler at Irish Distillers, C&C’s Club Orange and Ryanair.
