The Institute of Advertising Practitioners in Ireland (IAPI) have today announced the seven winning creative teams who will represent Ireland at the Cannes Young Lions competition in Cannes in June. The festival is regarded as the global benchmark for effective communications and the world’s top advertising awards show.
The seven Irish teams are made up of 14 young creatives who will compete on an international stage against teams from all over the world in film, print, PR, media, digital, design and marketing. IAPI chief executive Charley Stoney said this year was the sixth year of the competition which saw 105 teams enter, compared with 72 last year.
Entrants were given a 48-hour period to deliver a creative campaign with four worthy charities, namely Spunout.ie; Fairtrade Ireland; ENAR (European Network Against Racism) Ireland and CMRF Crumlin, benefiting from the winning campaigns.
The Cannes Lions takes place from June 17-21, providing access to pioneering consumer research, new ideas and emerging technologies to help make and shape adland’s culture.
