The organisers of this week’s Sharks festival in Kinsale have launched a new iPhone app providing delegates with up-to-date information about the weekend plus details on the town’s local restaurants, accommodation, pubs, transport, activities and useful numbers. The app was developed in-house by Windmill Lane Digital.
Added features this year include a function that allows the viewing of shortlists and the winners results soon after they are announced. Facebook check-in and Twitter hashtags for each event have been added to make the awards social. The event’s calendar allows GPS location for directions and tap dial functionality.
