Ash, Sure What Of It is a book of gags and satire aimed at capturing the zeitgeist of our troubled times. Published by Gregmar Books, the 120-page hardback’s author is Michael Cullen, editor of Marketing.ie and Campaign Brief columnist with the Evening Herald.
Ash, Sure What Of It is illustrated with original cartoons by Aidan Dowling, whose work features in such publications as Phoenix, Private Eye and Marketing.ie magazine. The book was designed by Jamie Helly of Dynamo. It is available for purchase in bookshops nationwide and also online.
“The book is about experiences that prompt laughter or just a little smile,” Cullen said. “Great gags are a boost to the morale, even when what is lampooned is not to be taken lightly. Ash, Sure What Of It satirises events near and far and pokes fun at politicians, bankers, developers, the clergy, celebrities and, of course, clampers.”
Ash, Sure What Of It (€6.99/stg£6) is published by Gregmar Books
